Poutama is an independent charitable trust established in 1988 to provide business development services to Māori. Poutama strives to create an environment for successful business ventures and economic growth for Māori. Income generated from its investments enables Poutama to engage in activities and provide services that support and facilitate Māori business development.
Poutama have assisted many fashion designers over the years and Tiki Āhua is the perfect platform for Māori designers to showcase their creativity. Tiki Āhua will provide an opportunity for fashion designers to sell and market their labels to the community, to key influencers and markets, to grow their businesses and celebrate the collaboration of the Māori fashion industry at Te Puia.
